FNBN Studios Presents: The Black Angels: A Nurse's Story Research & Reception

The Advancing The Science Campaign at FNBN Studios kicks off with a research and reception Black History Month Forum. Producer, Denetra Hampton is joined by Nurse Scientist, Dr. Dana Hines and Public Health Scholar, Jacquelyn Claude for a candid discussion on the research conducted in the making of the 2018 documentary, THE BLACK ANGELS: A NURSE'S STORY.


The research discussion is set for February 17, 2024 at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture in Richmond, Va., at 6:00PM EST.

A BLACK HISTORY MONTH FORUM

The scholars will discuss their documentary, THE BLACK ANGELS: A NURSE'S STORY, which hails out of Staten Island, New York and gives homage to the legendary nurses known as THE BLACK ANGELS. In addition, it introduces the audience to the life of black angel, Marjorie Tucker Reed. This is her only filmed interview.


There will be a candid conversation on the research conducted through (3) exhibits.

1. The Life of Marjorie Tucker Reed. Who is She?

2. The Nursing Science Behind The Story.

3. The African American Nursing Experience.
