THE BLACK ANGELS: A NURSE'S STORY

Our 2018 film project was the break that introduced this extraordinary story to the profession of nursing and to the world.  We explore the legacy of the Black Angels, introduce you to black angel, MARJORIE TUCKER REED, in her only filmed interview, and provide profound insights into the lived experience of the African American nurse and highlight key elements of those to first receive the drug.

Host this film for a unique look into the story.

THE FIRST FOUR

SCREENING EXPERIENCE

The plight for equitable education for African American nurses and doctors continues to plaque the American healthcare system, communities and the globe. This film lifts a page out of history and highlights one of the most instrumental events in nursing and medicine addressing this issue.

In this lyrical melody, producer Denetra Hampton introduces the world to the FIRST FOUR women to break barriers in education at the legendary PROVIDENT HOSPITAL AND TRAINING

SCHOOL FOR NURSES in Chicago, Illinois, 1892.

In addition a magical experience of the art of nursing and

medicine is displayed.

FNBN Productions continues to raise the consciousness of nursing science and how it has contributed to medicine and public
