Women's Month kicked off with a weekend of big moments. Producer, Denetra Hampton, hosted The First Four: Inspired by True Events Premiere & Reception at the Newberry Library in Chicago, IL. on Friday, March 9th at 6PM CST. A cinematic event which honored the first four African American nurses to graduate from the Provident Hospital and Training School for Nurses in 1892.

It was a night packed with distinguished guests from Quinn Chapel, Pastor Troy Venning, Newberry Library, Vice President of Communications, Vince Virpo, Provident Hospital Training School of Nurses 1959 Graduate, Burlean Burris and other Chicago scholars and educators.

The cast and crew led a moderated panel after the showing of the film, discussing their journey to making the film and the importance of access to education.

At long last, Oscars Night 2024 arrived. It was Sunday, March 10th, Denetra Hampton was off to Los Angeles to walk the red carpet for the big night. Style was in the air and Founder, Denetra Hampton, spared not one rod. She walked the carpet in all white with sleeves trimmed in fur. It was a night to remember.

In addition, she was able to discuss her work with many other film attendees. Another great opportunity along the journey. Catch a few of the big moments below.

Indeed it was a fabulous weekend, stay connected as more is to come!
